AirPods Pro 2 no Sound with Samsung TV -

I also have experienced the same problem with my Samsung Tv. My old AirPods 1st generation work fine with my TV. I purchased the new AirPods Pro 2 in December 2023 and returned the a week later. The AirPods would connect fine with the TV but if I paused the program or changed the station they would disconnect. All I could hear was a distorted noise. In order to reconnect, I’d have to go through the reconnect process again and again. I called Apple support and was told to send them in for a possible repair. After reviewing the posts, I realized it’s not the TV. I did have the last software update on the AirPod Pro 2’s.

1st of all it's NOT Samsung issue as I have used 3 other headphones (2 Beats Studio3 and 1 third party headphones) and all smooth as it should be. My QLED TV is 2023 model so latest model. It's Apple, why does it have to be always it only works with Apple devices?!?!? So frustrated with everything you have to do every 5 mins, just not worth it. Thank you all for providing various "temp" fix but it's still temp fix Apple. I am changing headphones to something else with ANC and returning this Airpods 4 brand new I just got last week. Not worth messing around for something simple as Bluetooth listening! Cmon!

My AirPods Pro 1s work fine however my AirPods Pro 2s have this same issue (audio distorted after fast fwd, changing apps etc). This says to me that it's the Pro 2s that are the issue.

I do not have a soundbar connected to this TV so do not have the 'no sound' issue that others are reporting. I saw a "fix" that involves turning off noise cancellation on the headphones, however this wouldn't work for me as I'm using my headphones in a noisy gym.

I thought this is the same issue with my sony walkman nw-a55

Glad you found a solution. I tried PCM, Passthrough & Compressed audio formats on my Toshiba tv and all formats were the same, 1 second of loud volume then nothing.

Mine also show up as AirPods - Find My on my Toshiba tv. The same happened with original firmware and the latest firmware.

I just started using my ps5 for YouTube and Netflix etc and no issues so far with the new AirPods Pro 2. So almost a perfect solution if u have a PlayStation

In my situation on all of the Samsung TV Anynet+ was already disabled and exhibits the same problem, AirPods Pro gen 1 no issues, Beats Flex no issues. Just AirPods Pro Gen2

Even i am facing the exact same issue with my new airpods gen 2 pro. Old airpods still working fine with same samsung tv. Apple is not helping here though it’s clearly a bug in AirPods connectivity

Tried long time after and now it seems to work, not flawless but much better. Some weird push noises comes every now and then.

Exactly, it's always work when you connect and reconnect, but never when a source of sound is changed.

Even a YouTube ad makes this stops working

For me the names are same in iphone and in samsung but good point still, cant confirm from my side though.

I would like to know people who have connected just fine, what is the differences. But usually they dont find these threads.

Firmware upgrade to 5B58 did NOT resolve my problem of brand new airpod pro gen 2 not carrying sound from my Sony NW-A55 digital music player. Still silent,and apple support absolutely zero help. Worst apple experience ever.

I have had this same issue with my Samsung TV and have run the iphone/airpods updates, and still do not get sound using my AirPods pro 2 and my Samsung TV. It's a huge bummer since I have really like using my regular AirPods to watch TV and play games at night while my family is sleeping. Apple needs to fix this asap. It makes no sense why this issue exists unless apple is trying to force people to buy Apple TV's, which would be predatory...
