Tv Os16 update and screensaver issue

Hi since the the Apple TV os16 update we’re having trouble with the screensaver. After 10 min when the screensaver is supposed to kick in we get the spinning wheel as if the machine is rebooting. It’s not. If we hit the tv button on the Apple remote the home screen immediately appears.

Easiest fix is to simply disable screen saver. Seems Apple doesn’t really care about this platform and I’d imagine a fix will be a LONG time coming.

FWIW, our screen saver is set to Apple photos— nature, landscape, and such.


Curious if anyone else is having a issue. Hardware is the newest model 4K Apple TV

We understand that your Apple TV is exhibiting behaviors that aren't expected. Have you tried rebooting your Apple TV? How about switching the screen saver to a different option? If you haven't tried those, give them a go and see if they help.


1. Use Apple TV screen savers - Apple Support

2. Restart Apple TV - Apple Support
