iPhone 14 Pro Cellular Connection Issues

Is anyone else having major issues with their cellular service on the iPhone 14/14 Pro series? Ever since switching from my iPhone 13 Pro Max, I've had nothing but constant issues which include:

- Slow data (at times even when right next to a 5G UW tower)

- Frequent cellular service drops - noticing this happen especially when the phone switches on 5G, but even happens when my phone is on Wi-Fi calling (this is to the point where I cannot reliably use texting for SMS)

Follow up:

I want to detail the solution that Verizon provided in hopes that it helps others.


I explained to the customer service rep. how I had already did all of the basics and informed them that it happens in multiple locations, etc.

Reboot phone, toggle air plane, Wi-Fi and reset the iPhone (without erasing the data) to no effect. They transferred me to a regular technician and that is how it was resolved.


Since I called Verizon on a different phone, we were able to resolve the problem faster.


The technician stated that my 14 Pro Max wasn’t provisioned properly on the Verizon service and that it was a problem on their end. Something to do with an older plan that I’m on.


He reset something on his end and I had to turn off my phone until he told me to turn it back on.

When I turned the phone on, I now had 5Guw (ultra wide-band).


The problems were gone.

I’m from Spain and I am also having the same issue. Every day my iPhone 14 Pro loses connection to cellular network and has to be rebooted. The connection bars in the upper right corner still full but without data network connection. I have IOS 16.1.1 exactly with the same problem, lag when closing application (swipe up) and network problems.

This has also been happening to me since i purchased the iphone 14 pro max in October On Verizon.


I’ve tried troubleshooting multiple times and yet i still get no connectivity/connectivity is very slow - it’s faster for me to use Wi-Fi than my cellular service.


The issue has to be the phone because the other iPhone 14 on my plan works just fine. No connectivity issues - 5G service is fast with no issues


I’ve came across another thread on another site, but there seems to not be a solution for this.

I am having the same problem with my iPhone 14Pro . I had no issues with my

12 Pro for years. But I noticed connection issues with the 14Pro as soon as I activated it. I use Verizon for my service.


I contacted Apple support and they said my software is operating as intended. I have an appointment to check the hardware but have a feeling that won’t find any problems either as the phone is brand new.


I’m glad you made this post. I hope it is as easy as a firmware or iOS update because this is very frustrating.

Its been a few months with my iPhone 14 Pro. Still having these cellular connection drops. Its especially annoying while I'm driving, using CarPlay, listening to music and everything just stops. My phone lose signal, music stops, my phone loses its connection to the head unit along with GPS. In my case its every single day on my way to work, passing by cellular towers and construction sites. Always in the same locations. For example In Oregon on 217 South a few miles before the I-5 south exit. I can see the cell towers and surrounded by construction. Car play doesn't reconnect. I think I'm going back to Samsung. My previous S23 Ultra never had this issue in these locations. I used it Monday - Friday. Android has its own annoyances, nothing is perfect. But cellular data connection should be a companies top priority, its one of the most critical components of mobile phone functionality.
