Slow Data connection on iPhone 14 Pro Max on Verizon's network

So apparently, I'm not the only one who's experiencing issues with slow data connection on iPhone 14 Pro Max on Verizon's network. There are the iPhone 14 Pro Max users who are experiencing this as well. Is Apple doing anything about this, perhaps in the next update patch? I wonder if anyone knows..

RESOLVED: My brothers iphone 11 pro max had this same problem, we tried everything here, we both have a shared plan with TMOBILE but my iphone 11 doesnt have this problem, only on his. So we decided to try an experiment which seems to have fixed it:


  1. shut down phone
  2. remove sim
  3. turn phone on without the sim, retest wifi speed, seems to work with full speed again.
  4. shut down phone again
  5. clean sim contacts with an eraser
  6. put cleaned sim back in
  7. turn phone on, retested, all good! Full speed!

I have had this same problem, along with a delay. I plug in my cord and I have it set to say something and 30 to 60 seconds later it will say what was programmed. Sometimes even longer. It is also slow on 5G, slow to load apps and pages, people can't hear me at times if I am using it through Apple Carplay, WiFi going on and off messes up some of my applications, my phone gets hot sometimes when I am using it or charging it, and I have updated the software and turned off applications running in the background and the camera has a hard time focusing when you zoom in, AND when I am typing it doesn't always touch where I touch the phone. I am thinking I should have just stuck with my iPhone 11 Pro.

My iPhone 14 Pro Max runs on WIFI at half the speed as does my 2013 iMac, both on WIFI, I'm sitting in the same chair.

If I stand next to the router/modem, the speeds for both are equal.To me, it seems to be either a problem with the iPhone itself or the IOS 16. I bought this iPhone on the first day it went on sale, the WIFI speed problem has been in all IOS 16 iterations.

I’m unable to work delivery services like DoorDash etc because the Wi-Fi keeps failing at the most inconvenient times! I held out on the waiting list for the iPhone 14 pro max 1TB because I wanted to be certain I had the most reliable phone possible. So far a surprising disappointment that is costing me money. And sad because this is my first iPhone, maybe my high expectations for an iPhone were not fair… If anyone is listening please direct focus to fix this issue asap for your customers.

Love everything about the iPhone 14 Pro Max, except connectivity. I upgraded from the Note20 Ultra 5G and, sadly, it crushes the iPhone 14PM in this regard. I can’t get anything higher than 2-3 bars on iOS. Most of the time, I topped out at 4-5 bars on my Note. Really fast compared to what I’m experiencing now. So sad. The iPhone is REALLY sluggish by comparison. Starting to regret my decision.

i have same problem with my iphone 14 pro Max. i am from India and my first iphone experience is very bad. i am using airtel4G mobile data never works it works only with high speed wifi internet connection.

financial transactions always fail. money transfer fails all the time. credit card payments from cred always fail. i am really fedup thinking to moving back to android phone. Very bad experience .

I just downloaded the latest iOS 16.2 and still the same issue. Come on Apple, QA issues!??. Why release this knowing this has network connection issues. We paid top dollars on this and our network connection is compromised. Your solution on reset method( network router, phone, etc) doesn’t work. If this doesn’t get resolved, law suites will be flying and I will join.

Dear All, I have just sifted from android to iPhone 14 every thing is very good as i heard. The only issue I am facing is slow internet. In my previous android phone i have same internet service provider and never face slow internet. now in iPhone this issue disappoint me. I have raised complain with internet service provider but they confirm about the speed. This is due to iPhone issue.

Can any body help me.
