Apple Watch heart rate monitor stops during run

Hi,

I have a recurring issue where the heart rate monitor on my Apple Watch will stop tracking heart rate partway into a run. This used to happen on my series 3, and I assumed it was just the fault of old hardware running a new watchOS, but it continues to happen on a brand new Watch SE 2.

It only seems to happen when my heart rate gets up to around 170bpm, and has happened approx 10 times, though only around 30% of the times I’ve used the watch while running. It seems this issue has been around for awhile, as this question shows almost exactly the same as what I am describing, except that heart rate tracking came back when their heart rate dropped: Apple Watch Heart Rate Pausing during Wor… - Apple Community

Mine does not come back (as seen in image) though I also don’t slow down so my HR is probably sitting around 170.

Relevant information: this happens while using Runkeeper, though both Runkeeper and Apple Fitness show HR tracking just stop, though the above linked question appeared to be using a completely different app. I may try using fitness for tracking to see if the same thing happens there.

Runkeeper only got HR data for the first 0.1 miles of a 1.3 mile run
