I just activated my new iPhone 14 Pro Max about a week ago and I am having the same issue. My phone is not sending the notification sounds when I have messages as well as many other apps while in the Lock Screen. All the settings are correct. I see I am not alone with this problem, when will there be a fix, you pay too much money for these expensive phones and it cannot provide you the basic feature you need on a daily basis.

Same for me, ever since I had this phone 3 weeks ago, I have tried absolutely everything but still don’t get notifications when I want them but as soon as I unlock; I get bombarded by dozens of notifications that should have come when I didn’t need to use the phone. Still no sound though and all settings are correct but I have no longer and option to change the sound

Yep same here iPhone 14pro running latest iOS, upgraded and running all the same settings as my XS… yet I cannot get messages to make sound when my phone is locked. I actually thought I was imagining it for a while since there is clearly nothing wrong with the speakers if it makes sound when unlocked, it’s so so frustrating!!!

Ive also had an issue with notifications not showing after the banner disappears (was never a problem with the XS which was running iOS 16 before I upgraded).

I also had issues with Siri understanding me on the new phone, where old one was fine. Downloading another accent of Siri voice was the tip that fixed that, then changing back to the usual one.

My Apple Watch series 8 also does a thing now that my series 4 never did where if I raise my watch and say “hey siri” my phone that’s across the room will ping instead, but then not be close enough to properly hear me, but most times the watch just doesn’t activate at all. And yes, all the settings are on, I’ve done multiple forum deep dives to try to fix this issue and all the others.

also finding the reception on the 14pro is terrible and no matter what settings I do for the camera it comes out AWFUL. Like really really bad. Way too much contrast, heavy darks, dark whites and way too warm or cold. Nothing helps. It looks great at first then 2 seconds later it’s like it loads properly and goes a different colour.

I waited so long to upgrade, and a huge apple fan, and this is the first iPhone & watch I’ve had where I really don’t think they’re very good at all.

Seconded, the camera issues are still not fixed and this is the entire reason I upgraded from my iPhone XS. The camera on that old thing was 100 times better! I’m seriously so disappointed. This is not a cheap phone and it’s clearly software related bugs especially with camera and photo processing. The photos are absolutely garbage. Worse than phones from a decade ago. I actually can’t use them without heavy editing and even that doesn’t take away the worst of it.

waaaaay high contrast, way more warmth even than apple is “known for” and photos are so colourful people look wrong. Especially indoors, it’s like using cheap nasty social media filters.

Hi. Yes. Just got the iPhone Max Pro and although the notifications are sounding, the sound level is way too low. Paid a lot for this phone. In fact I’ve used Android forever and finally made the switch. On the whole it’s a great phone, but I can’t seem to get the notifications to a level that’s productive. I’ve discussed this issue with Apple employees and at this point I’m hoping an OTA fix is en route or else I’ll have to head back to android.

I got mine fixed today at the Apple Store! Two things- 1. Phone won’t ding if you are wearing your watch paired to your phone. Either turn off Bluetooth or put your watch on the charger (or turn it off) and it will work fine. 2. Turns out I had a vpn on my phone and it was causing issues. As soon as we took that off then my notification was audible! I hope this helps you!
