How much battery drain does the average mac experience under sleep overnight?

Hello Apple community, i want to know how much percent of battery drain does your mac get when leaving it on sleep overnight for about 10-12 hours.

I left my mac on sleep for about 10 hours, and there was a 5 percent drain; sometimes (2 times a month or so) it drains down to 83%. But most of the time, the drain is somewhere between 5 - 7%

I will also note that my current battery capacity is at around 82% at 1270 cycles. I am fully aware that my battery is "used up" The battery capacity is still okay for me, and my battery status is "normal" so I don't think I need to replace the battery anytime soon, but I am keeping it plugged in while using. to extend it at least.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.13

None. Charge sometimes goes UP.

This is because Best Practice is to connect to AC power when it is available and you are not actively moving about.

Your Mac uses smart charging to charge in the optimal way. On newer Macs, that is based on your usage pattern. Your Mac will never over-charge.

Plug it in.

If your Mac is able to use Battery Health Management, there is no need for you to do ANYTHING about its battery condition except supply power whenever it is available. MacBooks used to take care of ALMOST all, now they handle everything, freeing you to do your important work. Do not spend a moment of your thinking anguishing over battery issues. the computer takes care of its own battery.

just plug it in and use it.

;-; ~ ~ ~ But, like....how much does it usually get when it is unplugged overnight.

Also, I know that you can't overcharge your mac, but doesn't keeping it plugged even overnight prevent the battery from draining/exercising, thus reducing capacity if done for years?

Is unplugging it overnight and using the battery 2 or 3 times a month keep the battery healthy? Or should I just plug it in for the whole time?...for the record, my mac does NOT support the optimized charging feature so it does not stop charge at 80% or based on my usage pattern
