Blurry pics on iPhone 14 Pro Max (iOS 16.0.2)

I just got the new phone few days ago (for the better cameras compared to 13 Pro Max), and surprisingly the pics quality is blurry!

If I use the main camera when choosing 'vivid' mode, after the pic is taken , it takes 3-4 more seconds to do the post-processing! You can see the pic changing contrast, light etc in 2-3 times during that time interval of 3-4 seconds. The result at the end is not as good as I had with 13 Pro Max - which did the processing WHILE taking the pics and not after...

If I chose the 'standard' mode, the pics are better than in vivid mode, but still if you zoom just a little the details get lost! If you dont zoom, some areas of the pic seem clear and others blurry!

I did everything I could do from my side, cleaned the lens, updated to 16.0.2 as I mention in the title and I dont know what else to do :/

Any help on this please?

Having the same issue, called Apple support. They’re apparently aware of the issue and the software team is notified and “working on the issue”. They also said they’re unable to tell me how long the “fix” software release will be, could be 1 months. Could be 6 months…

also offered me a phone swap but my phone passed all hardware issues so swapping the phone won’t really solve the issue.

Exactly how can a massive company con us all out of so much money? Three cameras on the back looking the part but it’s an absolute joke, it’s more than that it’s a con. People stand for it that’s what’s wrong, letting Apple carry on selling defective phones and it’s the same on other iPhone models. This should have been resolved a long time ago.

Good for you, I’m not standing for it either it’s going back and I will be doing whatever I can to highlight this issue publicly. They should not be allowed to sell these defective phones and how about all the companies and bloggers etc who do comparisons and videos none said it was a crap camera and I did quite a bit of research before upgrading from the 12 wish I would have seen this thread.

Hello all - just wondering if anyone has had any recent success or answers from Apple support/ Genius Bar? I am still waiting to hear back from Apple Engineering from my hours long call with them last week. I emailed them again yesterday as it has been 8 days now to let them know I am once again having to use my mother's iPhone 12 to get useable photos of my products for my online stores.... no response yet. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything helpful?

I'm sorry you got bad news about your health- I wish you well! And sorry that none of us are getting any answers. I really don't know what to do at this point. It's disheartening to hear it could be a hardware problem. I was with one of my friends the other day who has a 14 pro Max also - and I asked if I could take some photos with her phone. I took the same photos side by side and hers was not as bad as mine was, interestingly. Hers still wasn't focused that well, but the colors of the photo were much more true to life from her 14 pm. So maybe there was a "bad batch" so to speak of 14 pro max and we are the unlucky recipients?? Or even a display/screen issue that is making the colors off?? I don't know I just wish apple would at least acknowledge this huge thread of people with issues!

So incredibly disappointed with the blurry images and videos I’m capturing with the top of the line IPhone 14 max pro. It seems like it has problems focusing and adapting to movement and just in general. I bought this phone for it’s boasted camera capabilities but I wish I stayed with my 11, no pro or max…IPhone do better and fix our $2000 phones

My iPhone 14 pro max is taking blurry pictures. This is unacceptable because my iPhone X and 12 pro max took better pictures. Is there any way to fix this problem? It doesn’t make sense that my older phones take way better pictures. Shame on Apple for putting out such a poor quality phone. Hopefully Apple fixes this asap or else I and many others will switch to android. For a phone to cost so much money I shouldn’t have this problem.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!
