My Apple Watch brand new series eight, flashes green screen when I meet my move goal. The usually red circle and vibration is accompanied by flashing green screen. Does not seem right.

That is normal:

When you close a ring in the Fitness app, an animation appears to celebrate the accomplishment.
If you do not wish to see this, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Tap on My Watch (at the bottom) > Activity and toggle Goal Completions off. This should stop that from appearing.

Same issue here with the new Ultra
This is exactly what I'm seeing. Started in early October 2022.
Same here with AW Series 6. I think I saw the green screen earlier than Oktober!

This is happing to my Apple Watch ultra. It has happen for at least two weeks even restarting my the watch didn’t help.
Just happened on my series 7 that I’ve had for almost a year..
I rebooted and it still does it.
same issue here. This is definitely not a feature, but like everyone where the very ugly/broken flashing happens with activity notifications

Me too, been happening for a month or so now - Series 8
Apple Store visit said they had never seen anything like the flashing I showed them. They could not even say hardware or software problem.
