My Apple Watch brand new series eight, flashes green screen when I meet my move goal. The usually red circle and vibration is accompanied by flashing green screen. Does not seem right.

That is normal:

When you close a ring in the Fitness app, an animation appears to celebrate the accomplishment.
If you do not wish to see this, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Tap on My Watch (at the bottom) > Activity and toggle Goal Completions off. This should stop that from appearing.

Same here! Apple Watch Ultra. Noticed it when achieving a move goal animation. Thought I was a hardware issue but glad I found this post. I too am running the latest Apple Watch software version, 9.1
Same with my AW series 6. First noticed this a couple days ago. Thought it was just a one time error but this happen every time I close the movement goal since. Latest update already installed way before the error appears.

I’ve the same problem with my series 6. I faced with this green screen flashing issue a few days ago when I completed my move goals. It looks terrible.
By the way since ios16 upgrade the bluetooth calls via car multimedia is horrible (popping, crackling, noise etc….)
If I could, I would revert to ios 15 or 14….
The same is happening since today with my Apple Watch 7. I have been using watchOS 9.1 for some time now, without issues. So I’m not sure if it’s related to a bug in the latest watchOS version, since that bug would have manifested itself right after the last update.
Has Apple commented on this already?
I have the same issue. Got my AW8 2 1/2 months ago. Today, I had the flickering for the first time. Weird that it happens so randomly and out of the blue. Updated to Watch OS 9.2 now and hope it remains a one time issue!
Also, another issue is that the data shown on the activity badge are often terribly off. 😜 They better get that thing fixed…
Mine is doing this too. I went to Geek Squad and they said all of the diagnostic came back normal. It started on Saturday, 10/8.
Mine started doing this yesterday and it happened again today. Doesn't seem normal. If it is - it's a terrible new feature.
My watch just started doing this too. I treat it very well. Hoping this is just some kind of software issue, because there’s no way I damaged this watch already.
I started having this issue since lunch. It seems like a new issue. I hope they fix it soon.

This happens for my watch alot right now when i meet a goal. Looks terrible. My watch is brand new :/
Same issue here when the goal is reached it will flash green, looks awfull. Hopefully apple can solve this quickly.

Same here and if I had a seizure, it would be because of this odd flashing...
I just had the exact same experience once I achieved my move goal.
