My iphone 14 Pro Max is overheating!!! ;-( when dping simple things like browsing the web, and when charging, none of my other iphones have ever done that? I have tried all the fixes, and it was temporary and came back, there is so much on the net at the moment about people complaining why isnt apple doing anything about it? IOS updates dont fix the problem either??? Its an expensive phone!
100% disagree. I’m not using any apps that I didn’t already have, never had over heating before. Software is up to date, always is. Always had background refresh on, never had to reduce brightness before, always use find my location for find my phone which should always be on for obvious reasons, and no one should ever have to use an external fan or cooling device, never have had need before. So with that, this is an Apple problem not user problems.
Just so you know, this is one of many threads on this subject, there are other sites discussing this subject as well. In addition many experiencing this problem do not even post about this issue so there are more having this problem. So when you say the vast majority are not having this problem, I’m interested to know how you know this?
Purchased this phone Feb 2023 my battery health today is 96%. Worse then my old 7plus at the end of its use. It’s disappointing and discouraging l still owe on this phone. I never had a apple product like this one
That's excellent battery health.
Again, Apple states that a loss of 1-2% per month of use is normal, and they will replace your battery for free if it drops below 80% within one year.
February 2023 was five months ago, so a battery health of 90% - 95% would be considered normal, and your battery is performing better than that.
Interesting no one replied after your remarkably stunning statement. None the less, it is true no matter how many other threads state basically the same thing and someone replies telling the user they aren’t really ‘feeling’ or ‘experiencing’ what they actually are. Our concerns are real and no, it has nothing to do with storage on brand new devices. this was reply made on another relevant thread stating basically the same concerns.

Excellent!? What you are calling excellent comparatively speaking to a 13pro that had 94% for 2 years until ios17 happened to it.

My iPhone 14PM just started to warm up both the back and front glass just by watching small video clips on Facebook. Never did this until yesterday.
I just got the iPhone 14 pro and it’s getting unusually hot to the point where I have to put the phone down because of the heat
It’s not normal. I just upgraded today from an XR and that phone never overheated like this in the 4 years I’ve had it. I’m taking this new one back to the store tomorrow.
How do we get intouch apple care?
Unless the phone shuts itself down, it's not overheating:
If your iPhone or iPad gets too hot or too cold - Apple Support
Unless it warns you it is shutting down due to temperature, it is not overheating.
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch gets too hot or too cold - Apple Support
Then make an appointment to have your device examined; I haven't seen this issue personally.
Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple
Warming while viewing videos and social media is completely normal.
Unless the phone shuts down, don't worry about it.
