One of the main reasons why your iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max is getting hot is because of the use of power-hungry apps. Certain apps use more resources than others, and this can cause the device to heat up. Apps that are known to be power-hungry include games, video streaming apps, and GPS navigation apps.
To Overcome this problem you can do the following
~ Close Power Hungry Apps
~ Update Your Phone to Latest Software
~ Disable Background refresh
~ Use an external fan or cooling device
~ Reduce screen brightness
~ Disable location services
I’m almost afraid to say for sure but once l got a security response system files showed up on the screen and requested l restart the device. It instantly got cool hopeful….keep you posted
Same issue. There a plethora of known, documented issues with this model via apple. You can read on Forbes etc. don’t let the other replies make you feel belittled. It’s a very valid issue!
Yes!
Agreed
No, "all" iPhone 14s are not "overheating" - there are millions of customers with iPhone 14s not seeing this issue.
Go back to 13pro wish l had done that.
Same problem with my 14promax especially when I’m using the Camera app for a while or trying to edit videos on clips or iMovie or when watching 4K movies 💔
Ppl do you think I should return it?
Agree
l agree with you do not buy 14pm go with 13 and older or switch to android
JBNV well said and thanks so much l feel the same way. It’s refreshing to be heard and understood and have your legitimate complaints validated kudos to you
I started with and iPhone 4. So been here just a little while myself. Never had and issue like this. So, you’re exactly right this isn’t normal behavior for iPhone. It will all come out in the end.
This phone was brand new only a few months back in Feb 2023. The maximum charge in battery health today on 6/26/23 is already at 96%….
I also have this problem for the past week for no apparent reason. It’s killing my battery life!
did you have apple care?
I have same issue with iPhone 14 pro and I been advised that it is normal for these iPhones to overheat by apple it self, seems like apple decided to go backwards in quality. None of my previous iPhones had any issues apart this one and I stated this to them then I called, unfortunately apple refuses to take responsibility, so I guess that will be end of my long relationship with this company.
