Will apple ever allow multiple sources to run on iPad?

I am trying to listen to music (Spotify) and browse the internet on my ipad pro - a pretty straight forward and simple task but am getting exasperated with this device. It is constantly pausing my music when I go near a website with media.

I have looked on forums and I have seen this issue going back to 2012 (10 years ago .. WTF?). One user suggested the fix they used was to have a second device to play music…. Facepalm.

Why did I spend money on a device that is so rigid? It is definitely not a laptop replacement but costs as much and has powerful hardware.

Sadly, I have instead of trying to get what I wanted done spent the last 30-60 minutes trying to fix this problem and am left really dissatisfied with apple.

Is there a fix? Do apple care? How can I warn people like myself to not waste money on a device like this?

The behavior you're experiencing is expected. When opening an application or visiting a website that has audible media playing, the content in your previously used app will pause. There's your answer. Right from Apple.

If you are not happy with your iPad and the way it works, if this is a new iPad purchase, from Apple, you have a 14-day unconditional return policy and get a full refund of your purchase price.

If you have had this iPad for a longer period of time, attempt to sell it to get your money back.
