Then go to Settings -> Battery and scroll down to "Battery Usage By App" and note which apps are noted as using the most battery.

Cell service was not an issue when used with properly configured carrier towers; in fact those users had fewer drops than ever before.

As far as the battery drain, if it has been more than 48 hours since you installed 16.0.3, what does Settings -> Battery show has been the source of the excessive battery usage?

If it's Mail, how big are your mailboxes? A mailbox with tens of thousands of messages may take days to reindex.

for what they have an iphone 13 pro max and they have the battery problem after updating, put it on 60hz it will look a bit slow but the battery has lasted a long time with it turned off

I spoke to apple support who uploaded the analytics and hardware is fine. Ios 16.1 is released Monday 10am cuppertino time.

They suggested a full reset, update ios then restore from.icloud and report back if issue continues

How did you update to iOS 16.0.3? The current version of iOS is 16.1. 16.0.3 should no longer be an option. If that's what you're seeing, there's something else amiss. Do you have a beta profile installed?

Unless it shuts itself down to cool down with a warning, it is not "burning up."

Unless the phone shuts down, getting hot is not itself an issue, and depending on what you are doing may be normal.

For example, playing an action game or watching Internet videos in high resolution are very processor-intensive tasks.
