iPhone Battery Drain iOS 16.0.3

Hi there,

I am using an iPhone 13 Pro Max and I have been experiencing a rapid battery drain since the iOS 16.03. update. At times the temperature increases while the phone is ideal. Is anyone else having this issue?

MacAfee security for T-Mobile was using 71% of my battery on the background. So I deleted the app and now my phones battery is is stable. So go to your setting and battery and see why app is hogging your battery and delete it until the app is updated

I updated last Friday, October 14th, 2022. Was running 16.0.2 before and updated to 16.0.3 also on an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Same problem. Always try to keep only the most used applications open but now even when most of them are closed the battery drains very fast and the phone is warm. It has almost been 48 hours since the update so I do not believe the phone is rebuilding databases still. It seems to be a problem associated with 16.0.3 and not a hardware issue.

This is happening to me too.

On top of rapid battery drain, my phone is significantly warmer despite being idle. So hot in fact that the phone restricted charging because it was too hot. It’s high 60° and I’ve been indoors so not hot because of environment conditions.

Using a brand new iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 16.0.3. This only began after updating yesterday. Unsure what minor version I was running but I’ve been on iOS 16 for a few weeks now.

I am facing major battery issues in i-phone 14 pro right after updating IOS to 16.0.3. I immediately reported it to apple customer care on call and via chats shared screen shots. It suddenly drops down to 8-10 %. It is quite annoying. Furthermore the issues are, animation to detect my face is slow and sometimes wifi keeps on disconnecting and reconnecting where-as my other apple products fairly uses wifi without any such issue. I feel IOS 16.0.3 literally slowed down i-phone 14 pro and apple should release another update as soon as possible to fix these issues.
