iPhone Battery Drain iOS 16.0.3

iPhone 11. Went from bad to worse. iOS 15 was fine, I could go to bed with 5-10% and wake up with a functioning phone (don’t have charger on bedside)

Now I go to bed with 30% and it’s dead by morning. I’ve tried closing down all apps, gone into sleep mode, turned off WiFi and Bluetooth, no difference. Dead in the morning.. have to recharge twice a day now. Used to work for 24h.

I am having the same issue on iphone 12 pro max updated from 16.02 to 16.03 and battery life is really bad, back of phone gets hot, applications freeze and stop responding then close and reopen by themselves, clicking on a message in mail makes all the others disappear for 2-3 seconds.

There is something very wrong with 16.03 as my phone was also working perfectly on 16.02

So I visited Apple Store n Birmingham city centre and discussed the same issue. And trust me he was just defending by giving irrelevant examples and lastly told me to reinstall ios 16.0.3. Or to wait for next software update. I was annoyed so left the store.

I’m using an iPhone 12 and I have the same issue, I upgraded as soon as it came out so it’s not a recent installed. There’s also nothing different on how I was using the iphone before and now and it’s ridiculous the amount of times i have to charge my phone on a daily basis. It drains the battery in less than 1 day barely using it, now imagina how fast it drains when actually using my phone.

I’m installing 16.1.1 right now, hoping this issue will go away.

What was your earlier iOS version where you did not have this issue?

Same with my iPhone 13. Battery performance was very good on 16.0.2 but after I updated to ios 16.0.3. There is battery drain.

I wonder if it’s Facebook that needs to be updated to work with iOS 16.0.3 without issue. My Facebook app shows 50-60% of battery usage while other apps use much less.

I am having the same issue with my 5 days old iPhone 14Pro. Once i updated the IOS to 16.0.3 the battery started draining rapidly and abnormally. Chatted with Apple support and they ran a diagnostics but they didn't find any hardware issue. I wait for few days to see what happens or return the phone before 14 Days.

Can anyone say if it's hardware issue or IOS?

I am using an iPhone 13 Pro and I have been experiencing a rapid battery drain since the iOS 16.03. update. At times the temperature increases while the phone is ideal. Is anyone else having this issue?

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and as soon as I updated to iOS 16 my battery has been draining quick. But this past update my phone has been randomly heating up and I can’t keep it on my mag charger for too long because it burns up.

Same problem on iPhone 11, battery capacity 85%, previous iOS versions are 15.7, then 16.0.1, 16.0.3. Battery drains unexceptionally fast!

Deleting unused or occasionally used apps, rebooting the devices, clear Safari history and caches do not work!

I can understand where you're coming from but I have got this phone since it came out and I have never had this issue before, I'm working in the office with my 9-5 job so I don't use my phone that heavily at all, I can't even if I want to, just watching reels, checking on some social media apps and playing some really stupid lightweight games in general.

I once again want to highlight the fact that I have been using this phone for a while now and have never had this issue until I updated to iOS 16.0.3 which is why I'm a bit annoyed right now.

For the record, I want to get the solution to this issue but if not then I can also just wait till 25/10/22 when iOS 16.1 should available for all users.
