iPhone Battery Drain iOS 16.0.3

Hi there,

I am using an iPhone 13 Pro Max and I have been experiencing a rapid battery drain since the iOS 16.03. update. At times the temperature increases while the phone is ideal. Is anyone else having this issue?

MacAfee security for T-Mobile was using 71% of my battery on the background. So I deleted the app and now my phones battery is is stable. So go to your setting and battery and see why app is hogging your battery and delete it until the app is updated

My battery life is still very bad since ios 16 and even after one week of having ios 16.0.3 . I'm at 95% Battery health, but I don't think that is the reason for the poor battery performance. Also having 13 Pro Max by the way. On iOS 15 I got at least 9h screen-on-time, now 6-7 at the best. Today I lost 50% while having 3h of screen-on-time. I hope iOS 16.1 will fix that

That doesn't sound like a hardware issue at all. The people who use this forum don't work for Apple btw. Also this is the internet so you may find it useful to get a second opinion.

A digitizer is basically the glass on the exterior of your iPhone screen. The actual image and light come from the LCD screen below not the digitizer btw as they are totally seperate parts.A digitizer takes input from a user when they touch their phone to click something or make a gesture and converts that into information your iPhone can understand like exactly where you touched.

So here's the important question: Is the exterior glass on your iPhone even broken, cracked, chipped anywhere?

If not, then it's unlikely it's a digitizer issue. Doesn't sound like one to me.

What I don't understand is how someone decides it could be a broken digitizer without asking if your screen is cracked. If the issue continues you could try plugging your iPhone into a mac and viewing the log messages in the Console app although this may not be a straightforward as it could be.

I waited on the update when it 16 came out and just recently saw the 16.0.3 so I updated what apple had on my phone for update. I do not know if I have a beta profile…I honestly don’t know what a beta profile is. But thank you because I just checked my phone and now it’s showing the update 16.1. I have automatic updates on but never seems to update unless I check. I will update now and see if that fixes the battery issue.
