PIV Card works on 2015 iMac, but not 2019 MacBook Pro

I need to use a PIV card to access work. The PIV card works perfectly with my 2015 iMac, but I can't get it to work with my 2019 MacBook Pro. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I used to plug the CF card into the adapter and plug the adapter into my 2011 MacBook Pro and the card would get read. With my 2015 MBP, though, the adapter does not work. What gives? sd card not detected using VAVA usb-c extension box with Ventura Hi, I'm using an 2021 MacBook Air and wanted to read in a SD card. The card seems to be detected (there is a short flickering on the screen), but nothing is shown, neither in Finder nor in Fotos. The same USB-C adaptor with the very same SD card is working fine with my company laptop running Windows 10. This same USB-C adaptor also works find with my private Mac for connecting to external screens, keyboard or whatsoever. It is really only the SD card that is not recognized. Does anybody have an idea?

You might need to talk to your IT folks about selecting a particular certificate on the card.
