Crash bug/Sign in not working on android

After the recent 4.0.0 update for the android Apple music client, I encountered an issue where instead of playing the song I had selected, it would play the next song. When I attempted to go back to the song I wanted, or skipped through too much of a song, the app would crash.

So, I decided to uninstall and reinstall the app to see if that would fix the problem. However, when I try to sign in now, nothing happens. I put in my correct email and password, and push the sign in button, but it just puts me back to the subscription plan screen. No error message, nothing. I have seen that other users on here have had similar problems, and have tried the solutions given, such as clearing the cache, force stopping the app, and restarting my device. None of these have worked. If it helps, my device is a Samsung Galaxy J7 running android 6.0.1, which according to the Apple music info on the play store, exceeds the minimum requirements for the app.

I have absolutely no idea what to do here, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
