"Make New Sticky Note" Keyboard Shortcut Not Working

I have just upgraded to an M2 MacBook Air. The keyboard shortcut for "Make New Sticky Note" does not appear to be functioning.

The native shortcut can be found in:

  • System Preferences =>
  • Keyboard =>
  • Shortcuts =>
  • Services =>
  • Scroll down =>
  • "Make New Sticky Note".

The default shortcut is "Shift-Command-Y". I have tried with both the default and an alternative shortcut.

It appears someone was having the same issue with Catalina:

Any help or suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

You have to be in an app that supports it such as TextEdit, Safari, etc. Make a selection then press the key combo.
