Phone shutdown when taking photo in portrait mode

Currently running iOS 16.0.1 iPhone 13 and every time I take over two photos in portrait mode my phone decides to shut down immediately, black screen and takes over a minute to turn back on with the power button. any idea on what can cause this? No damage to phone or any issues before.
