Apple Watch Ultra Wayfinder Bezel Does Not Show Lat/Long numbers - Always Updating...

Hi,

It's always showing Latitude: ---.----- and Longitude: ---.----- Updating...

Watch OS version is 9.0.2 (20R8391) -- It started after I updated the OS on the watch. Until then I remember seeing it working. Cellular is not setup on my watch and I am not going to set that up yet.

The Compass app on the Ultra works just fine.

I've tried rebooting the watch, resetting the watch, rebooting my phone - but to no avail. Anyone else seeing this issue?

It's terrible that the one new face that is unique to the Ultra watch is buggy!

Please try this and hope it solves the issue:

1) in your iPhone, make sure that the is ON. You can get this from Settings->Privacy & Security-> Location Services).

2) Once clicking on “Location Services”and setting it ON, please browse in the list of apps until you find the one named “Apple Watch Faces” and click on it.

3) Select how you want to Allow the Location Access. I have set mine to Always.

Hope this might solve the issue.

I understand and I wasn't expecting a solution from anyone. I was just raising this issue here to see how widespread it is and to get apple support to notice it.

You're welcome. I hope they find a solution for you. It doesn't seem to be a universal issue as it works fine on my Ultra.

Figured it out finally!!!

make sure that under Settings -> Location Services -> Apple Watch Faces is set to "While Using the App"

Glad you got it working! My location services have the correct permissions and the lat/long bezel doesn’t display anything, not even the updating message you were getting.

That was actually the issue for me, this worked like a charm as I don’t want to see the lat long. Thank you!
