my mac gets stuck when trusting disabled iPhone 6s

I have a disabled iPhone 6s, and on a MacBook Pro I have been trying to reset and update the but every time after I download the update I get a forever spinning wheel after pressing trust, Mac is up to date and I've tried recovery mode on iPhone
