How to schedule Shut down in macOS Ventura
Hello All. How do you schedule a shut down in macOS Ventura? The Energy Saver tab does not currently have the option.
Thank you

See if this helps:
Schedule your Mac to turn on or off in Terminal - Apple Support
Me Too! Dear Apple: Bring it back and make it better, easier to use. a.) Environmentally friendly means being able to shut down as desired to save electricity use, and b.) make the darn command work when the MacBook is asleep, and c.) Auto shutdown is a SECURITY feature. I want it to automatically shut down at 2 am closed, open, whatever: if it's lost or stolen, if it is shut down automatically, that helps protect my data, like the password to my bank accounts! Bring it Back!, Make it better. Thank you.
I totally relate! That’s the most annoying thing! This feature has been there for 20 years… and they remove it for absolutely no reason the year when, more than never, we have to save energy… I don’t understand it… They don’t even get profit from that removal…
I’ve reported the problem under hardware - iMac. There didn’t seem to be a ‘System Settings’ app option!
And I’ve discovered that the pre-Ventura Scheduled Shutdown is still functioning. But there is now no HMI to change it. 😱
"Apple even has an article with instructions which seems to imply removing the GUI configuration option was intentional:"
Unfortunately this article is only dated "Copyright © 2022" so I suspect it was hastily writen after complaints started coming in!

An article that applies to Ventura wouldn't be published before Ventura was released.
My point is that you cannot tell if the article was published when Ventura was released or afterwards when the complaints started coming in.
I'm not sure why it matters. The pmset command has existed for a very long time. The man page has a date of 2012. It is what the GUI used to set those things. That article would have been valid at least as far back as 2012.
If you follow the link macOS Ventura Schedule your Mac to turn on or off in Terminal - Apple Support given in HWTech's post it takes you to a page that has the only date on it as "Copyright © 2022 Apple Inc."
I can’t figure out why the date of the article matters at all. It doesn’t affect how the system works. It could have been posted in 2012 and would still be accurate whether or not the GUI existed. Knowing when the article was published will not change anything.
They probably forgot it and/or couldn’t implement it with the SwiftUI autolayout that populates this app (and is why it’s interface is more simple/basic than the old one…).
Anyway, that’s really annoying this bad habit of removing useful feature people like at every overhaul…

Two things:
Apple did not need this particular article for the command line instructions for configuring this option until after the GUI interface was removed. Apple doesn't post very many articles regarding command line usage.
The article is in the macOS Ventura documentation and since Ventura did not exist until 2022, the date would make sense. Besides, if you change the OS from the drop down list to Monterey or Big Sur, then you will see the articles are also dated 2022. That date appears to be on every webpage and is just a general copyright notice.
Just dropped this to Apple Feedback... Dang! "Owned Macs since the 512.. never used Terminal! Simple scheduled shut down & Start requires a language I do not understand. pmset, womp, sudo, etc., etc. I do not want to learn to program a Mac, that was the whole system idea! Dang it I am 80! I do not have time for this. Jobs is turning over in his grave. Shame , shame!"
Unbelievable!!! Discovered this feature to be missing last night, after I had it on with Monterey. Why on earth would Apple remove this? Each OS update should make your Mac better, not worse.
(Also, why not give the user the option to switch between classic and new view for system settings)
This is RIDICULOUS that such a common, useful, longstanding feature has been taken away. I've been using it since the mid 90s. I use it to both make sure my computer doesn't overheat as well as enable startup for remote access when I'm traveling. Bring it back ASAP.

This is a user-to-user forum. No one participating here can bring back anything. If you want Apple to know your concerns, use the appropriate channel:
Can you please show the command to reboot every day at 8:00am ?
