Have anyone started to face battery drain in iPhone 13 after iOS 16.1 update..?
i wasnt facing a battery issue in ios 16.0.3 but today onwards after new update i have experiencing a drastic battery drain

iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 14 draining battery just by sitting on the desk with no apps running. It gets hot that you almost can boil water on it.
Charging 2 or three times a day. Is that the new normal by turning off all features just to have the iPhone to make calls? Than I can switch to my old Nokia.
I use apple products almost 20 years, but this iOS 16 takes the cake.
which steps did you do? Eg. erased the phone, restore from Mac, erased again and restore from iCloud, anything in between?
my 13Pro Max just chews they 25% battery overnight laying down doing absolutely nothing. While my basic 14 drops 5% after 2hrs of normal use…

I am following in your footsteps and will report tomorrow. One thing that I am noticing right off the bet is my Mac is downloading the entire 6.5GB iOS update before restoring...(fingers crossed)
Strange. Mine had horrible drain right after 16, and finally 16.1 fixed it to near iOS 15 levels.. (13pm brand new 5 months) .. now I’m scared to update to 16.1.1.. think I’ll wait as I’m not having battery issues finally
It disappeared after I did what I wrote but it lasted me almost a week and a half was so annoying but guys I’m sure apple will fix this last years ios15 also had lots of bugs rest assure by 16.2 everything would have been fixed hopefully

spent hours in the car to get to the store and also spent hours on the phone. It IS ridiculous.
My problem isn't related to Contacts or Calendar, so I think there may be a few bugs that Apple has to quash. Nothing like paying top dollar to become Apple's free beta testers. I understand how difficult it is to design software when there are billions of devices and an unlimited number of hardware/software combos, but still...
This, to me, seems like an impossibly complex fix for the average iPhone user. I already wiped my phone once, as instructed by Apple, so the idea of doing it again but not restoring from backup isn't a very appealing prospect, especially when there's no guarantee that this fix will work.
Is it just me, or when you go through the process to restore and you click the update and restore button there is no indication either the iPhone or on the Mac that anything at all is happening? C'mon Apple, get it together.
Yes there's none i expect a warning message appear to notify user that the process is started. However if you see on top right itunes there's a download button appear, if you click it. It show that the ios download is started.

Plugged it off the charger. After 3 hours of not using the phone: 30% battery drain?!?! What else do you need, my beloved favourite company of all times?

Disabling an important feature like iCloud syncing of Contacts isn't really a solution. The only real solution is for Apple to fix the bugs, not to disable features that are causing problems. After all, they don't say "we're offering this new feature, but if you use it it will cut your battery life by 50%."
Ever since the update now my battery is draining screen dimming all the time phone is to warm to put to my face for calls! What is Apple waiting for the batteries to disintegrate and hurt someone?? Fix this ir I’m buying android! Apple has ruined my XS it was fantastic now calls are even dropping my voice disappears but good signal? FIX
iOS 16.2 does not solve the drainage. Contacted apple yesterday and they dont have a fix or acknowledge the problem so far. Im using iphones since the OG 2G iphone but at this point pretty sure i´ll consider a nothing phone (1) or a android.
