On ios 16.1 - The post login Homescreen wallpaper keeps disappearing into a jet black background even though all the app icons still show up as they were - rebooting the phone restores the wallpaper till I have locked/unloced the phone 3 to 4 times and then back to black background.
Any workaround?

I found a workaround which has stuck with me for over a week now - I am posting it here in the hopes that it helps some of the others too - all the best:
Lock your phone and then hard press on the home screen - as your phone wakes up you should now see various wallpaper options and if you want, you can actually flick away the options you don't want - one can actually create myriad combos now!

Wallpaper problem has returned on iOS 16.2. Was fixed in the update from 16.1, but has reappeared.

I want to try deleting previous lock screens so it won’t keep going back to a previous one, but I need help figuring out how to delete previous screens
I can’t see your whole post- it stops at ‘“an apple analyst”.. was the analyst able to give you a good idea?
I saw that someone deleted their previous screens, but I can’t find a way to do that.

I have an iPhone 12 pro max and it is currently producing a black background for everything except the lock screen and I don’t know how to change it
