after installing Ventura, the shortcuts I set up in pages (to change from body to subject or quickly turn on bullet points) doesn't work! Every time I try to use it, my mac just makes the stupid sound for when the input action was wrong, can someone please help me?

This is obviously a bug introduced in Pages 12.2. I urge everyone experiencing it to report this bug at https://www.apple.com/feedback/pages.html
It has nothing to do with what function keys the user selected, or what text/paragraph styles. It is a bug, plain and simple.
I'm had the same problem, when I reverted to the previous version of Pages I hade installed (from a backup), the style shortcuts worked again. I'll stick to that until this issue is addressed.

As a workaround, I have set up a Keyboad Maestro macro that executes shift-right arrow before firing the shortcut. Better than nothing…
Do the shortcuts appear next to the respective menus?
Luis, what computer architecture do you have? I have M1 Pro and Pages shortcuts do not work for me.

It's the style menu where I chose 'subject' as F2, 'Title' as F3 and in the "bullet point" menu I chose 'note-taking' as F1. Like I saud, it worked perfectly up and till I updated...

I am running macOS Ventura 13.0 on a 2019 MBP 16" (Intel).
I can't set a single F-key as a shortcut on an intel MBP. I vaguely remember I couldn't do it on my M1 Mini, either.
These are shortcuts specific to Pages, that you can set for paragraph styles. I was NOT talking about the shortcuts you set in System Preferences.
