Apple Mail finder window

I just upgraded to latest system software Monterey 12.6.1. Apple Mail has lost the attachments column indicated by a paper clip. Help!! This was a very useful feature! How can I restore it?

Apple Mail - 'remove attachments' is greyed out I'm using Apple Mail (16.0) on a MacBook Air (M1) running Ventura 13.6. The option to 'remove attachments' under Message in Mail is permanently greyed out and trying to delete attachments results in the email being deleted. I sometimes get emails with quite large graphic attachments and purely to save space I would like to delete the attachment but retain the email. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Attachments not visible in Mac Mail I receive messages with attachments and the attachments are not visible in the message. A friend attached a PowerPoint presentation. I scrolled down and didn't see it. The only way it was visible was if I clicked on the "save attachment" short cut at the top of the mail and saved it to disk. Otherwise there was no evidence it even existed.

Go to your Mail viewer window and click right with the mouse near on one the column that appears. You see a list of optional columns you can add or remove like this.
