Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Since IOS 16.1 update my lock screen wallpaper randomly changes to a black screen. When looking at Settings, the correct picture shows as my current wallpaper. The only way I've found to get the correct picture back is to turn the phone off and turn it back on. Anyone else have a permanent fix?

iphone 13 user. I did the 16.1 update a few days ago. I woke today to black lock screen and main screen. I read this issue on a few other boards. The reboot is what I suggested, but this will need to be a patch fix from Apple in my opinion. Reboot brought back main screen wallpaper for a short time and it went black again. Lock Screen still black after reboot.

I bit the bullet and renewed my photos on the lock screen. seems to have worked.
Same problem with 14 pro. So disappointing.
Is there a fix for this? I’m sick of how often it happens!

it’s a disgrace that a billion dollar company can have so many stuff up’s… It’s like phone companies when services freeze up or no reception. 🤬😡🤬😡🤬
