Trackpad pinch to zoom gesture often fails or not working

Two Finger Zoom Continues To Quit Working Often

I don't seem to have a problem with it, but I wonder if it is the fact that I am using the original Trackpad with my M1 Mini and not a Force Touch Trackpad. I don't have a problem on my Intel MacBook Pro (2018) using the Force Touch Trackpad.
