Ipad air cannot connect hdmi to tv after updating to ios16.1

Multiple reports have been seen within ASC complaining of issues connecting an external monitor, via HDMI, subsequent to updating iPads to iPadOS16.1.

You would be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Get Support link at top-right of this page. There appears to be more and more Apple Support community postings on this issue.

Apparently, there is a problem with all Apple HDMI video adapters on iPadOS 16.1.

Hopefully, Apple will, soon, fix this issue, in a future iPadOS 16 update.
