You purchased the iPhone 13 a day ago so you must have setup the iPhone about a day ago. Your iPhone may be undergoing updates and iCloud syncing of data and creating backups (If you use iCloud for backups and photos etc). Your iPhone may have had other background activities such as notifications etc. Widgets such as the Weather Widget will take up some juice to update itself. There are a lot of reasons for battery usage while the iPhone is idle on the table. Let a couple of days pass and you may see an improvement once the iPhone is finished with indexing and iCloud activities.
By the way, you checked after 9 hours and a 17% drop is not really bad.
You can check which apps and procedures used the battery since the last time the iPhone was fully charged by opening Settings ➡️ Battery: Here you can scroll down and see the battery usage charts.
