Right Arrow key not working

The up, down and left arrow keys work fine. I replaced the keyboard and the problem is the same.

I am using a mac extended keyboard.

I tried unchecking the 'move left a space' and 'move right a space' under Mission Control in Keyboard preferences and nothing changed. I also tried changing the keyboard to "ABC Extended" and that didn't change anything.

Can anyone help?

It sounds like to me you may have inadvertently given it a keyboard shortcut for some different functionality in Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts.

Right arrow key will only work if it has something to go to.

If you are in a spreadsheet, it will navigate to the cell on the right.

The vertical flashing bar, being the cursor indicates if the entry point is at the end of the line or the middle of the line.

The right arrow only works if it is in the middle of the line, not at the very end.
