Desktop tiff file not showing thumbnail preview

Tiff file on the left on my desktop is not showing any preview. But the one on the right is.

What's going on here?

Screenshot not being saved to desktop Hi everyone! I've just realized that my Cmd + Shift + 3 is no longer saving screenshots on my desktop. Although the captured sound still plays when I press the combination, nothing happens afterward. Please send me some help T.T

Suddenly I don't get a thumbnail when I take a screenshot, how do I get this feature back. I use Command Shift 4 to take a small screenshot, then a thumbnail appears in the lower right corner of the screen and I can right click that for a menu or drag it to another window. Suddenly this feature is gone and it opens a window and wants me to save the image as a file. I don't want to save it as a file, how to I get the thumbnail feature back?

Does the one on the left open with Preview and Quick Look?

Yes can open with both.

Will restart and see if it makes any difference.
