How to Disable Automatic Link Previews in MacOS Ventura

It's a painful feature that has triggered clients spam filters twice now and i seriously don't want this feature without the ability to turn it off.

I hope Apple will give us soon an option to deactivate this terrible "feature".

It is very bad UX, generates unwanted layout shifts, triggers spam filters etc.

I am sending product feedback now ...

You don´t need to use "..."

Putting a single comma or period or whatever right before the link will suffice. Nothing necessary after the link.

Unfortunately, for the most part Apple seems to ignore suggestions from mere customers.

Unbelievable features are added without option to turn them on/off 🙄

if you hover your mouse over the link proper you see the mouse over popup for the the URL...

if you move your mouse to the end of the link you see the carrot (v) which when clicked will present a Quick Look of the destination URL/site.

As far as I can tell there is no change here, unless I am missing something(?)

Painful or not, it cannot possibly trigger clients spam filters.

It only affects how you see the e-mail message, not its content, so when it's sent, it has zero effect.

Sorry but a clients email program returned it as it had triggered their filter. They read it as an 'icu' file and returned it. You may not believe this but that is exactly what happened.

I resent it as the usual text and it was fine.
