Mail send delay

Hello. I updated my iPhone 12 Pro software on Oct 31, 2022. I also updated my iPad Pro operating system and my 2022 iMac's operating system. Since I did this, I am having an issue with my Apple Mail. Randomly (approximately 1 - 2 emails per day) that I send emails, they do not actually get sent. I send them and when I discover that the person I sent it to did not receive it, I go to check my Sent folder and the email that I sent, did not go through. It is a happened 8 - 10 times this week. The person I am sending it to did not receive is and as I said, it is not in my Sent folder.

I called into Apple Support this afternoon to inquire about this. The person I spoke with was not familiar with this issue with Apple Mail. He checked out various settings on my devices and everything was in working order. I suggested that this issue started with the recent OS update this week. One of the new feature with the new iPhone 16.1 and other device software updates, the Mail application has an option in the Properties App with the selection of Mail, to turn on or off a new feature under 'Sending' titled 'Undo Send Delay' that if turned on, delays the mail from being sent for a period of time (minutes) to allow for you to recall it and make changes to it before it gets delivered to the receiver. I have mine turned on, since I upgraded my software. I asked the Apple Support person, if the recent software update could possibly be the cause (a possible glitch in the new OS) be the cause of this issue. He had not heard of this issue as of yet. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

My most recent OS on my iMac Desktop is Mac OS Ventura Version 13.

Thank you

Pat

Hello. Your reply to my inquire does not address my concern. My concern is:

Randomly (approximately 1 - 2 emails per day) that I send emails, they do not actually get sent. I send them as I send any email, and when I discover that the person I sent it to did not receive it, I go to check my Sent folder and the emails that I sent, which did not go through, are not in my Sent folder. It has happened 8 - 10 times this week. Repeat: The person I am sending the email to did not receive is and as I said, it is not in my Sent folder.

All emails are sent as I create them, with then new built in 3-5 minute delay. Some emails randomly did not get to where they were addressed to and these emails that do not go through are not found in my Sent Box. I believe my issue has something to do with the new Mail feature with the recent OS upgrade. that allow the user to set a “delay” in sending the email. I have disabled this feature since my issue began.

As an update - I have not had this issue since I disabled the new ‘send delay’ feature in Apple Mail.

macOS Ventura - Apple (CA)

Easily unsend an email you just sent, schedule messages to be sent whenever you like, and get reminders to follow up or come back to a message later.1 You can also add rich links so your email has even more details at a glance. And if you forget to include an attachment or a recipient, Mail will catch those mistakes and ask if you want to add what’s missing.2
