Mail send delay
Hello. I updated my iPhone 12 Pro software on Oct 31, 2022. I also updated my iPad Pro operating system and my 2022 iMac's operating system. Since I did this, I am having an issue with my Apple Mail. Randomly (approximately 1 - 2 emails per day) that I send emails, they do not actually get sent. I send them and when I discover that the person I sent it to did not receive it, I go to check my Sent folder and the email that I sent, did not go through. It is a happened 8 - 10 times this week. The person I am sending it to did not receive is and as I said, it is not in my Sent folder.
I called into Apple Support this afternoon to inquire about this. The person I spoke with was not familiar with this issue with Apple Mail. He checked out various settings on my devices and everything was in working order. I suggested that this issue started with the recent OS update this week. One of the new feature with the new iPhone 16.1 and other device software updates, the Mail application has an option in the Properties App with the selection of Mail, to turn on or off a new feature under 'Sending' titled 'Undo Send Delay' that if turned on, delays the mail from being sent for a period of time (minutes) to allow for you to recall it and make changes to it before it gets delivered to the receiver. I have mine turned on, since I upgraded my software. I asked the Apple Support person, if the recent software update could possibly be the cause (a possible glitch in the new OS) be the cause of this issue. He had not heard of this issue as of yet. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?
My most recent OS on my iMac Desktop is Mac OS Ventura Version 13.
Thank you
Pat
