Ventura: Filemaker 19 Printing Problem
In Ventura Filemaker 19.5.4.401 cannot print all data in a list. It only prints one dataset (one line in a list).

Claris confirmed another printing bug to me:
After setting the amount of pages to a higher number (e.g. 50), printing, closing Filemaker Pro and starting again, the page amount does not reset to 1 as it should be.
This is the answer from Claris:
-The engineers could reproduce the described issue and, therefore, an official investigation has been carried out.
-This week Claris have release a new software update, version 19.6, for all FileMaker 19 products. This update, while being now successfully tested on Ventura OS devices, did not take into account the recent bug report raised. This means the engineers will be working on the bug for new forthcoming software updates to come later in the new year.
-As it stands, the issue could be reproduced both on FileMaker Pro versions 19.5.4 and 19.6.1.
-Temporarily, as a workaround, they suggest you to stick to the built-in scripts features available with FileMaker Pro 19 application, in order to have control over printing. The following one taken from the product official guide might help:

This work around will allow you to print all FileMaker Pro Records being browsed in OSX Ventura:
Go to File > Save/Send Records As > PDF >
In the new window, select "Records being browsed" and save.
The saved PDF file will print all records properly.
Cheers!
How is the Kyocera added? Using a vendor driver? Does this happen when saving to PDF or opening in Preview? Are you able to test with an AirPrint printer?
If it doesn't happen when when saving to PDF or with an AirPrint printer, you might want to talk to Kyocera first.
The other option is Apple feedback, in which case you'll have to add as much information as possible about how the printer is set up.
Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.
NOTE 1: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;
• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed
• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)
• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically
• Disables user-installed fonts
• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files
NOTE 2: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode. This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will insure a successful boot into Safe Mode.
Only works for me on Monterey, not Ventura. No matter what I do, just the first record prints. But if I use the Save Records as PDF script it works for me. If folks have trouble, that might work for them too.
Just one step, as easy as scripts get.
I am working with FMP16 on Venrtura. I have the same issue not being able to print record being browsed. But, I did find a work around.
Select the Print: to "Records being browsed"
Goto the (Preset) Default Setting menu
Save current setting as preset
Create new preset (name it what ever you want). select all printers and Print Job Preset
Print using new preset name
It worked for me. Good luck on FMP 19
You've select to print only the current record, not all of the records being browsed.
This issue with printing lists is extremely frustrating.
If the issue is the "Classic" page layout, I think it's a major mistake to discontinue it. I have databases I created 30 years ago in Classic. Telling me that I can't use it to print lists is just dumb. Eliminating it was dumb.
I was able to print after saving to .pdf. It's a clumsy work-around.
Put a button on the layout with a Save Records as PDF script attached and it'll print them all that way in Ventura.
Have you tried from Safe Mode?

Hi John,
thank you for the reply.
The problem of only printing one record in FileMakerPro instead of several records occurs also in PDF Print and opening in Preview. Bonjour Printing with the Kyocera Printer driver.
It seems more people are having this problem, also with different printers. Check at Filemaker.
Problem seems to be Ventura and Filemaker. (Sigh- why are these FileMaker People so slow...it once was an Apple Company...)
Hi Dr.,
Thank you for testing and reporting whether it happens in the other cases.
If other people are experiencing this with different printers, probably AirPrint printers among them, this sounds like it could be a problem between the new print dialog and Filemaker (and their application settings).
One possible workaround, given the new dialog, is to see if selecting what you want - all records or one - and then toggling the disclosure triangle - closing and re-opening it - causes a change in behavior. Worth a try?
I've made a special layout for printing records with just the fields needed. The default is "Records being browser" and they print as shown on the screen.
Using a print layout I don't get the top button bar or bottom bar on the print.
Hello,
the printing bugs did not get fixed in the update. Here is the answer from Claris support:
There is indeed a new software upgrade which can be installed for both single user license owners and volume license subscriptions owners.
The updated Release Notes regarding version 19.6.3 and what features/improvement were applied, can be found via the online download page:
claris.com/resources/downloads
On a side note, the previously reported printing issue has not been addressed for this specific new update: currently, we do not have any information given by our engineers regarding new software upgrades to fix the previously reported printing issue. For the time being, they would recommend to look into the already available script steps to control the printing via FileMaker desktop application.
