Remove hide my email feature from Mail’s compose view

Hi everyone,

is there any way to remove the annoying Hide my Email setup suggestion? I am referring to the drop down menu in Mail’s compose window where I can switch from which of my accounts to send from.

I had hoped it would be possible with macOS 13. This annoys me since it became available with macOS 12.

Try disablinging the bells and whistles and compare your results—

Open mail app select Mail>Settings>Privacy disable:

  • “Protect Mail Activity” /
  • “Hide IP address” /
  • “Block all remote content”

compare your results and report back —Mail Privacy Protection on Mac - Apple Support

Use Mail Privacy Protection on Mac - Apple Support

Thanks for your reply. I just tried that and even quit Mail afterwards. Had only Protect Mail Activity/Hide IP address checked. The nag option is still there:

I do not intend on using this and only want my 2 regular mail accounts to appear there.

Sorry, but this is of no help and only generic information. I know what Hide My Email is and I know how to set it up if I had the desire to use it. The first link only explains how to do that, not how to get rid of the useless pulldown menu option, which is what I want to accomplish…

To clarify: The 2 mail account I am using are not iCloud accounts, they are regular IMAP accounts of my own hosted domains. I do not use iCloud-Mail and I do not need its Hide My Email feature…
