iPad 9th Gen camera is awful.

Is the Camera of iPad 9th Gen really bad? I am very disappointed with it. I purchased a brand new iPad from a local apple retail distributor and I just tested the camera today. Compared to my old iPad mini 1 previously, iPad 9th Gen’s camera is awful. Is there anything I can do to fix this or is it really like this? 😞

Which camera?

The front facing FaceTime cameras or the back/rear camera?

The rear camera is Apple's standard 8mp camera for many iPad models for the past 7 years, or so.

It has no LED flash, so you need plenty of room and/or natural light going into that lens to get good still shots.

The front facing 12mp ulrawide FaceTime Centerstage camera is designed mainly for Facetime video calls.

With the sofaware digital pan and zoom for the Facetime Centerstage feature, megapixel resolution gets reduced and still image resolution quality/clarity suffers, as a result.

The 12 mp ulreawide lens with digital cropping, panning and zooming will make a poor image/selfie still camera.

Sorry.

iPad 9th Gen camera is awful.
