Mac Calendar not syncing with Exchange on Ventura

I delete and re-add the account about every week or so. I think its back in sync, and then notice meetings are not the same as on my phone or using OWA calendar. +Watching for resolution

It is not fixed in Sonoma either.

Same problem with mine. I have had 2 live tech support sessions with Apple without resolution. Apple should understand this is a massive failure with Ventura. I have already had to revert MS Office to keep my calendar straight; not a good development. Hoping Apple is monitoring and working around the clock to fix this forthwith.

Ventura 13.1 did nothing for me to fix this problem. Totally shocked that Apple let this happen in the first place let alone leave it out there for such a long time. Business user and I have shut down Mac Mail and Mac Calendar in lieu of Outlook becuase Mac's apps are not working for calendar. Totally unacceptable for Calendar to be this dysfunctional. Can't tell you how much it pains me to have to go back to Outlook. Come-on Apple; get this resolved.

The behaviour of the calendar app is really strange. The problem seems to be localized only to the calendar application on macOS in connection with the local Exchange server.

Calendar on MacOs will allow you to create an event that is almost instantly synced to iOS. Similarly, an event created on iOS will appear on macOS after a while. This is apparently provided by iCloud sync.

After removing and re-adding an Exchange account, past and current events are not loaded. After restarting the Exchange server, the synchronization process works for a while, but then stops. Sending meeting invitations does not work. It is also not possible to reply to incoming invitations.

Please provide a quick fix or rollback to the previous version, which worked without problems with Exchange sync!

Wald02, I tried this. Yes, my calendars were synched again and I was hopeful. Then on the outlook side, I deleted a meeting and I'm still waiting for the Mac calendar to delete it a few hours later. Maybe if I did all my work on one calendar or the other, but that's not possible for me. Due to a webex app in Outlook, I have to create the meeting requests there, but that's it. Everything else is on Mac Cal.

Some time yesterday, without me having done anything at all, this started working completely as it had before I updated to Ventura. I wonder if there really was some Microsoft-based (read, Exchange) cause for the problem.

Anyone else see a change?

I did re-boot...it appears to be working, but as I mentioned, it took a long time for the delete of an item in Outlook to make it to Mac Cal. I feel like a grenade with the pin pulled. I don't trust it and have to look at both Outlook and Calendar regularly to ensure they are in synch. Phone has been fine.

I also wonder if this was an Exchange problem all along as someone else has mentioned. I'm up to date on their service levels.

Now it's working again! So strange.

Though there's a new bug where it treats meeting invitations sent directly to me correctly but invitations sent to a distribution list that I belong to incorrectly (doesn't give accept/decline prompt; auto-accepts them all.)

Any more updates on this issue? It happened a couple times to me - most of the times deleting and reinstalling the account worked, but not anymore.

None of the things suggested here work anymore... so now I cannot see any of my appointments anymore (including the teams/zoom link that are in the meeting invitations). Pretty bad bug...

Nothing added in mac's Calendar populates into our Outlook365 Exchange calendar. Nothing added into the Outlook365 Exchange calendar populates into the mac's Calendar.

so the solution is to completely delete your exchange account? that's insane. especially because it works until you change something on the remote server at which point it will stop working, leaving you to have to delete and repeat? .... this seems almost like an insane asylum solution

Well, I've given up and started using outlook. How sad.

It seems that the Mac calendar app fails to reconcile changes made on other devices. Original events that it creates and edits seem to be pushed up, but changes made elsewhere don't.

Unfortunately there's only so many times that you can double-book clients before you have to do something about it, and I'm tired of deleting my account on all my Macs and adding them back in every two weeks.

its April 2023 and I'm still having the same issue. I have an older Macbook pro from 2018 and is ok in that one but in the new 2023 m2 pro it's not. iPhone and iPad also coherently working fine, please help I need my exchange calendar synched!
