Mac Calendar not syncing with Exchange on Ventura

Yes Vi is not very friendly.

Vi shortcuts

• i — Switch to Insert mode.
• Esc — Switch to Command mode.
• :w — Save and continue editing.
• :wq or ZZ — Save and quit/exit vi.
• :q! — Quit vi and do not save changes.

Glad it worked for you. I have had no such luck. It's odd. I'm syncing fine on my phone, and through MS Teams, but the cal on my Mac doesn't sync with Microsoft exchange. very frustrating. I've missed key meetings as a result. Please, Apple, make this a top priority

It's bizarre - it seems to be worse on the device with 13.4. So clearly they are trying to change something, but failing somewhat spectacularly haha. It is mind-boggling to me that this is still an issue.

"Utilize a Time Machine backup" -- please be more specific. Backup of what? Is the idea to restore the Calendar app (so use Time Machine to replace the app file)? Can you indicate what the steps are you have in mind? (I.e., is the newest version of Calendar buggy?)

This is only a temporary fix. It will re-sync initially but eventually it will stop syncing again. Sometimes it will work correctly for a few days before it fails again.

My guess there is some event or something that is getting "stuck" and failing, preventing the rest of the calendar from syncing.

Had this on my old iMac and now my Mac mini is experiencing the same on Ventura 13.5. Is there a link to vote for features/defect fixes? Very frustrating that this seems to always be an issue getting Mac calendar to sync consistently with M365.

It is interesting that my intel MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.4 worked fine but now my M2 Pro Mac mini running Ventura 13.4 is having this problem not just with Exchange but with all calendar subscriptions.

Same here; still broken on Sonoma 14.0: A particular Exchange/Outlook invite shows up on my iOS devices but none of my 3 Macintosh Apple Calendars. I have done pretty much everything suggested in this and similar threads.

etc. Even Sonoma doesn't fix it (crashes). What's up, Apple? Its SQA is really bad. :(

ITGenie - I had this same problem with Sonoma 14.2.1 with my new Macbook Pro which I purchased several weeks ago (to replace my previous laptop). After substantial frustration with two exchange calendars (and some issues with related email accounts) and exhaustive online searching your solution fixed this problem in minutes.

I was able to solve this and not by most of the solutions mentioned here.

1. Go to iCloud on the web and export all of your contacts to disk.
2. In the web contacts interface select all of the contacts you have online in iCloud.
3. If you have screen time contacts, deselect those.
4. You did make a backup of all those contacts to right? Ok, cool. Delete all of the contacts in the iCloud web interface.
5. Wait for the contacts in your phone to delete. They will if you are sure you don’t have a configuration issue. It could take a few minutes.
6. Once they disappear from your phone, reimport the backed up contacts into iCloud. They will reappear on your phone within a minute or so.

I tried many of these solutions after Sonoma monkeywrenched all--though have not completely deleted Exchange across the computer and restarted, i.e. from Mail as well. Only thing I got was for all so far is that old Outlook stuff has disappeared from my desktop Mac Calendar. Don't want to see this happen with Mail as well. I did try deleting from calendar and adding back in, only for it to tell me it was already there. Just have installed Outlook on the Mac and will use that alongside my Mac calendar. What a pain.

I'm experiencing the same issue. No word on when the fix is coming? Right now, I have to manage my calendar through my phone rather than through my Mac...

I'm on Ventura 13.1. Fix is not in there. Only adding since I only saw 13.0.1 mentioned in the string of messages.
