iPhone 14 pro iOS 16.1.1
Just installed new update. I thought it was supposed to fix Wi-Fi issues. I still am getting “no internet connection “ message even though I am connected to my network.

"I am having the same issue with iOS 16.1.1. Wifi keeps dropping on my iPhone 11. It worked perfectly fine before the upgrade for several years, and there is no new setup on my side, so this looks like an issue in iOS 16.1.1 that needs to be addressed. My MacBook and other devices seem to connect to the home wifi perfectly fine, just my phone keep dropping connections to wifi."

Thanks for the response. This is not a public network. This is my home WiFi network which i have been connecting to on all my apple devices for years. I have never encountered the no internet connection message on any device until iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. This is happening on my new iPhone 14 pro and ipad pro.

Thank you for the screenshot.
You have no IP Address. Just because you are connected to a network, that does not mean you have access to it. If a Public LAN, you may still have yet to tap "Accept Terms & Conditions"

Thank you for the screenahot.
You have an IP Version 6 (alphanumeric) IP address. What I’d expect you need is an IP version 6 (numeric-only) Address. So, restart your modem and your router, and if no success, contact your ISP.

Troubleshooting iPhone WiFi:
Four Thoughts:
A. Clear Temporary Internet Files:
If connecting is unsuccessful, try clearing out your Temporary Internet Files: History, Cache, and Cookies
Go Here: Clear your Safari browser history and set up content blockers on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
B. Try manually restarting your iPhone:
C. Is Cellular Data ALWAYS Enabled?:
Cellular Data always overrules Wi-Fi. So, if applicable, disable Cellular Data, if enabled, and see if you get Wi-Fi to work.
D. Troubleshooting Connectivity:
Wi-Fi: If your iPhone won’t Connect to a Wi-Fi Network - Apple Support
Hi. Just to be clear before attempting A and B…although I get the “no internet connection “ message in Wi-Fi settings, I am actually connected to my network. My devices mentioned can browse in safari, open Mail , open apps, etc., same with cellular off. The question is why is this message still coming up and persistent. Seems to be an IOS 16 thing.
Thanks again for your help. I have done the router/ modem reboot multiple times without resolution. Given this never came up prior to iOS 16, and I had the same ISP,I’m not sure why the issue originates with them. Xfinity is a big ISP. Using their gateway. As long as this issue is not actually affecting my Wi-Fi connection, I will put it aside as a strange artifact of the operating system update and its particular interaction with Xfinity’s router. Maybe it will resolve with future updates. I did report the bug per your suggestion to Apple. Thanks again for the input.
Try turning off private Wi-Fi address. As you are at home, you don't need that anyways. I'd be curious if that works as it would indicate a change in how Apple is handling "randomized" MAC addresses.
I don’t know if you have this solved yet but I had same problem and it was my VPN app. Even tho it was disabled at the time it was still blocking my access. I uninstalled it and my Wi-Fi reappeared.
il have no idea if you have a vpn or security software on your phone but if you do try removing the app and try again.
I still see WiFi disconnect issue with 16.1.1 even when everything in the router/network is fine as well as all non IOS devices work fine. Surprisingly the speedtest on iPhone works fine when this message is displayed. Another side effect with this bug is “WiFi Assist” kicks in and consumes loads of cellular data
I am having the same issue with iOS 16.1.1. Wifi keeps dropping on my iPhone 11. It worked perfectly fine before the upgrade for several years, and there is no new setup on my side, so this looks like an issue in iOS 16.1.1 that needs to be addressed.
My MacBook and other devices seem to connect to the home wifi perfectly fine, just my phone keep dropping connections to wifi.

Okay, so what's the solution? Providing that would help many for certain.
