New iCloud Terms and Conditions

Upgraded to Ventura 13.0.1 but now I can't use iCloud because I need to accept the new Terms and Conditions. However, clicking on the button "Terms and Conditions" does nothing.

I've restarted a couple of times.

I keep getting notifications to accept the new terms and conditions.

But I can't accept the new terms and conditions because nothing happens.

Hello Strongest_Avenger,

If you have not tried already, please restart your Mac. We know this sounds like a simple step, but sometimes a fresh restart can correct unusual behavior that pops up. Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support.

Also, does the issue happen with a specific user? If you do not have an alternate user you may need to create one to test with. Here's more information on that process: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

You may also want to see if you still have the same issue while in safe mode.

Here are a few of the reasons to test in safe mode:

    • It performs First Aid on the startup volume, and attempts to repair errors if it finds them.
    • It limits third-party kernel extensions from loading.
    • It disables auto-login and suppresses startup items and login items.
    • It deletes certain cache files that could potentially cause macOS issues.

You can look over more information on this here: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support.

Kind regards!

Thank you for your response. I have tried restarting my MacBook Pro. Multiple times. The issue continues in safe mode.

I keep getting the notification to accept the new terms and conditions but I can't accept the new terms and conditions because the button to view the new terms and conditions is unresponsive.

In the meantime iCloud on my MacBook is useless.

Thank you for the screenshot.

New iCloud Session:

Did you ever fix this? Log out of iCloud, and then log back in.

I can actually click the button and it brings up the Terms and Conditions. When I scroll to the bottom, I check the box and click Agree. Sometimes another dialog box opens and closes really fast so I can't read it. Once I'm done, the little red 1 remains and I continue to get notifications that I STILL have to accept the terms and conditions. This just started happening yesterday.

Ventura 13.1 on M1 Macbook Pro and 16.2 on iPhone XR. Problem on Macbook Pro --"New iCloud Terms and Conditions. To use iCloud on this Mac you must accept the new Terms and Conditions." I check the box and click agree. A new box appears and disappears so quickly I don't know what it says. Problem continues. I have restarted. Tried First Aid. Reloaded Ventura. And tried to start in Safe Mode, which it will not do. No problem on iPhone. Is it time for contacting Support?
