Basically the regular camera on the 14 Pro/Pro Max can't focus on an object any closer than around 7.5" away, so if you need to take a picture of something closer you use to use the wide lens in macro mode.

Complain to Wells Fargo. Using the Bank of America app, I have no such issues taking photos of checks being blurry on iPhone 14 Pro Max. It is up to the app developer to ensure their application works correctly. Apple has ZERO control over the Wells Fargo application.

No, those things need to be addressed by the app authors.

I don’t know about Wells Fargo, but for example Chase allows you to take the photo with the Camera app and upload the saved photo rather than take the check photo with their app.

The camera can only focus so close due to physical limitations of optics.

There's nothing Apple needs to address here.

I've had the same problem trying to take a photo of an ID, I used the safari browser and the brave browser but the camera doesn't want to focus close up. Hopefully this will be addressed by Apple as the problem is with the phone and not every site/app that works with every other phone.

Every other phone works, but it's not Apples fault, got it. Thanks for the help.
