BATTERY DRAIN DRAMATICALLY ON IOS 16.1.1

I have the same issue for iPhone 11 Pro Max. Battery was fine before the update but it drains dramatically after updated iOS 16.1.1. Doesn't even last a full day. Was so regret update to iOS 16.1.1. Apple, please fix the issue.

I have the iPhone 14. Battery life was great before the 16.1.1 update. Now, It'll have 80% battery, then all of a sudden drain to nothing and shut down. I plug it in and turn it back on, and poof battery life back up to 80%. It did it to me a few times while I was on a business call. Is Apple up to their old tricks and forcing you go out and buy a new phone?

The drain is indeed dramatic.

Dramatic enough to consider moving to another mobile platform.

I guess that the UAT people at Apple rely on actual users to find solutions for what should be the outputs of their jobs. BTW the only reason why I accepted the release is that the phone annoyed me with UX coercion, which eventually left me no choice to upgrade, for fear of being further annoyed. The cost of accepting the coercive demand is having worse product.

Is not the passing of acceptability not a function of the testing team over there in Cupertino? What gives?

I have same problem on my ip 14 pro. After upgrade to ios 16.1.2, the battery drained badly. Looking at battery usage it said siri used 20%. I turned off siri, then few hours later I checked battery usage again. It says camera took 70% but I did not use camera at all. How come the camera took 70% of battery usage. Apple software updates is awful :(

As of this morning, my phone battery is draining so fast the charger can't even keep up. The power is on, all apps are closed, airplane mode is on and screen is off. Battery still draining faster than the charger can replenish it. iOS 16.11 on iPhone SE 3rd gen.

NOT acceptable Apple. This is a 1 month old phone.

I'm curious about what they will tell you.

In my case, the 14 Pro Max is as bad as before in 16.1.

On 16.0.3 was great.

On my wife's 12 mini everything is fine.

16.2 Zero improvement. It actually seems worse. Battery drainage not improved. I called Apple tech support today and they ran some tests and said my battery is operating at 100%. I already knew that. They told me to schedule an in store appointment.

When I first got this phone when I first got this phone it would last literally all day and still have 30% when I got home after a 12 hour day

Battery would not last until lunch now just had professionally installed a new battery in my iPhone X same old same and the battery is at 100% capacity using standard slow wall charger at night. Starting to feel like the update is designed to kill older phones so we will upgrade.

Ditto for IPhone 8 and wife’s I phone-14/Promax. Apple needs to do better . This happened

with earlier versions and required battery replacement at Best Buy or Mac store. What a debacle that was as authorized Best Buy tech broke my phone.

I didnt buy apple because it better i only bought it as status brand , motorola tenth of price does better job than this sloppy iphone 13

Here it is 14% drain overnight with no screen time. This is totally unacceptable from Apple to keep mum on the mess iOS 16.1.1 has created.

I am also facing battery drain in my iPhone 11 I have also try force restart

but no any changes
