Apple Fitness bug - competition completed but no victory badge

Restarting and making sure your devices are updated are great first steps, so awesome job there! We also would like to have your unpair and then pair them again to see if this continues. You may need to start a new competition to test if the correct date is shown as an end date.

I have this issue as well on my watch (SE 2022). It's been about a month and half since my competition ended. I received a notification congratulating me on my victory right after ended but neither the 'Competition Complete' badge nor the 'Victory over $Friend' badge are filled in. It shows the same 'competition_end_day' message as in your screenshot. In that time since the competition ended I've gotten a new iphone (13 mini), updated to the latest ios twice, installed the latest watch os, and even unpaired, erased, and repaired my watch. The issue persists. So it's likely not something we can fix on our end. It's so trivial but it drives me crazy haha.

What worked for me was I wore my watch to bed on the last day of the competition and at 12 am I received my badges.

Hi all - I had this problem too and it seemed to fix itself upon completion (and trophy win) of a new competition with a different person. Hope that helps!

this has happened to me. Completed 4 competitions and the first 3 nothing showed up; even though I won 2. Reset and restart didn’t work. So this time I tried something different. I wore my watch to bed. Happened to wake up at 12:30 am. After the competition ended, I lost but I received my badge from the previous one in which I had won.

I am too got this error today. See same buggy text with "competition_end_day" placeholder on Iphone 13 Pro and Apple Watch 7 45 mm.

Both devices with latest updates.

Maybe issue that i click "Clear" under notification "You beat Andrew!" instead on it.

Maybe -- because I am and Andrew in different timezones (3 hours difference).

I am having this same issue since buying a new watch and phone in November 22. The last competition shown is October - even though I compete weekly. I have tried updating, restarting, unpairing, etc- Nothing has worked thus far. It's not the end of the world, but it is frustrating.

Unfortunately this theory doesn't apply to me since I'm experiencing the same issue although my competitor and I are in the very same time zone ... not getting the trophy is no big deal but that kind of bug showing an incomplete placeholder for something due to some coding is just frustrating coming from Apple.

I am also still having this issue in March 2023. Tried all suggested fixed to no avail. Also filed a bug report with Apple. I believe my “competition_end_date” badge issue began in Sept or Oct 2022. Still there. Appreciate any support from Apple to get it fixed. Thanks!

I've had my watch since October 2022, competed with 3 friends in my time zone & won all competitions. All my trophy's are grey as though I didn't win them. I've disconnected from wifi, reset, repaired.. everything. I think I've probably worn my watch to sleep a few times over the last few months and it hasn't made the trophy appear.

I’ve got exactly the same problem.

Im curious if unparing your watch and reset it solved the problem?

I have had this same issue since September 2022. Drives me crazy. Apple support didn’t even resolve it. Anyone find a fix?!

The timezone theory is intriguing. The only person I compete with is also in a different time zone and I have the issues described here.
