Apple Music offline when connected to Wi-Fi

Is any body else having a problem with Apple Music saying it’s offline when you are connected to internet after updating to iOS 16? I’m connected to Wi-Fi and able to browse web so there’s no problem with the Wi-Fi but Apple Music says it’s offline, I turn on cellular data on while connected to Wi-Fi and it comes back online which is weird, it happens on my iPad to but I don’t have cell on it so there’s no glitchy fix available.

Hey there iestyn48,

That is a strange issue to occur, especially since you're still able to browse the internet regardless of the 'Offline' error in Apple Music. Let's rule out some possible causes by confirming the following details:

  1. When did this first start?
  2. Any issues while just using cellular without being connected to Wi-Fi?
  3. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPhone
  4. Since you have a compatible iPhone model, the latest version is iOS 16.1.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad

Cheers!
