Terms and Conditions Error November 2022

This error is on my Mac not an iPhone.

I am unable to confirm that I agree the iCloud Terms and Conditions. When I try to accept, an error message appears and is gone in a second without giving me a chance to read and execute any instuctions.

My iPhone works fine but I am not sure what I should reset to ensure compliance with the request from Apple.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 13.0

Hello Marjorie Dawson1,

We understand you're experiencing issues when attempting to accept the terms and conditions for iCloud. You may be prompted to accept these terms and conditions in more than one place within System Settings. If you're unable to accept them in one area of System Settings, try accepting them elsewhere. You may be prompted to accept them in the following areas:

  • System Settings > [Your Name] > Apple ID
  • System Settings > Internet Accounts > iCloud

If you've tried this, and you're still unable to accept them, contact Apple Support for additional support.

Cheers!

None of these work.

I did manage to get a screenshot of the error message that flashes up and disappears extremely quickly. No wonder people express frustration that they cannot read it.

"Could not activate iCloud.

iCloud could not be activated because of a server error. Please try again."

As I have not DE-acticated my iCloud this message is, also, not helpful. How do I access the 'server' mentioned, I am not sure if this is my end or Apple?

I will contact Apple Support with, with respect, this should not be happening and, I am sure, is an error subsequent to my installation of the latest Mac update.
