My dad just got the iPhone 14 pro max. When he uses certain apps, some features he needs to access (buttons on app) aren’t accessible because it seems like they are behind the front camera area. (The black cut out pill shape on the top of the screen) Is there a setting to change the screen so he can use certain apps?

The Dynamic Island is a native function of the iPhone 14 Pro models and cannot be removed. His best option will be to reach out to the impacted apps in the event that the developers have or need to design a version of the app that is compatible with the Dynamic Island.
